Local 1286 Annual Tree Chip is scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 2-3, 2010. Happy Holidays! The time has come. The one…and only…Richmond Firefighters annual Christmas Tree Recycling at Garry Point. This event is taking place January 2 & 3, 2010.
Look at the weekend schedule below, and sign up for our Firefighters' Society's biggest annual fundraiser, and a whole lot of fun!
Our special live burn safety demonstrations will continue, every hour from 1000 hours until 1800 hours, where the public can observe "What can happen if…" and children can experience what it's like to spray water with a firefighter.
Pajo's has once again happily stepped forward to fill our bellies with Steveston's famous burgers and fries. There will be water, coffee, and Timmy's as well. The music non-stop, and the Virgin Radio 95.3 Flight Crew will be on site throughout parts of the weekend.
For the new recruits, and those who have not been in attendance for a few years…come out and have a good time...for a great cause.
All funds raised go to the Local 1286 Richmond Firefighters Charitable Societies, consisting of the Richmond Food Bank, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Vancouver Children's Hospital, BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund, and more.
Please EMAIL Forrest Weissler, fweissler@richmond.ca, with your dates and times to volunteer over the weekend. We need to fill up the available time slots.
. ***Plan for cold and wet weather...dress warm (gloves, toque, boots) and wear clothes that may get dirty.
Thank you. Al, Joel, and Forrest
